Twin2twin, is an innovative and inspiring collaboration method developed by the Royal Dutch Organisation of Midwives (KNOV). In the end of 2012 this four-year project was launched together with sister organization AMSF, the professional association of obstetricians in Morocco. During the next four years twenty Dutch and Moroccan midwives exchanged knowledge and experience for the further development of obstetric care for Moroccan pregnant women in the Netherlands and Morocco. Twin2twin is linked to scientific research and has delivered several international publications. In 2015 the twin2twin project received an international prize: the Midwives for life Award.

The results of the twin2twin-project were presented in the Hague on the 28th of November 2016. Korrie de Koning, chair of the Core Group, attended the final exhibition on behalf of Share-Net Netherlands. The exhibition highlighted examples of the Dutch-Moroccan collaboration through film, posters and conversations with midwives involved in the project. Some examples are the greater flexibility in accommodating the wishes of Moroccan women in labour by Dutch midwives and the challenges Moroccan midwives face when conducting complicated deliveries in remote and difficult circumstances.
