Aiming to bring attention to the need for Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) and to empower and encourage young leaders to influence their national policies, CHOICE for Youth and Sexuality and YouAct initiated the “Europe Unite for CSE” project, with support from ShareNet. As part of this project, we have developed the following publication: The Current State of Sexuality Education in Cyprus, Georgia, Poland, Romania and the Netherlands Insights from a Youth Perspective.
The project involved five European countries (Cyprus, Georgia, Poland, Romania, the Netherlands) and since every country has its specific context and reality, as a first step of the project, a desk research has been conducted in each country, following the same template, to inform the planning of national advocacy action plans, in accordance with the identified relevant national events.
The value of the desk research is not only as a base for our own advocacy action plans, but also as a collection of information and knowledge on CSE and other SRHR themes by young people for young people. We encourage the dissemination of the information through multiple networks, to enable access of other (young) people interested in advocating for CSE for young people in their countries or Europe, in general.
We are pleased to share with you the final results of the desk research:
