At Share-Net Jordan, this quarter was par excellence, a participatory quarter, with the most important achievements distinguished by inclusion and interaction with partners and stakeholders on a national and global level. A prestigious achievement was the launch of “Darby” Platform for Youth Reproductive Health knowledge. There were steering and technical meetings of the National Strategy of the Reproductive and Sexual Health for 2020-2030, participation of the core team in the 3rd local learning session within the model of improving projects using the participatory approach of Share-Net International’s SHIRIM. Members of Share-Net Jordan Steering Committee, Dr. Hadeel Alsayeh, participated in Share-net Bangladesh’s 7th Knowledge Fair 2022, the largest annual meet-up on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) in Bangladesh.

The Secretary General of the Higher Population Council, Dr. Issa Al-Masarwah met with the ambassador of the embassy of Netherlands in Amman, Mr. Harry Verweij, where aspects of cooperation and coordination between Share-Net Jordan, the Higher Population Council, and the Embassy of Netherlands in Amman, were discussed.

A scientific meeting was also held on the role of pharmacists in Reproductive regulation services in Jordan. Given that Youth are among the most important target group of Share-Net Jordan, the Secretariat participated in the launch of the Youth International Community of Practice (ICoP), and locally, the first meeting of the Youth Community of Practice in cooperation with the “Youth for Health Network – the Royal Society for Health Awareness”, was held.

Share Net Jordan finished the designing and printing of two Facts Sheets, the first on
The role of Media and Communication in Advocating and Raising Awareness of Sexual and Reproductive Health Issues, and the second on “Sexual and Reproductive Health of the Elderly in Jordan“.

In addition, 51 SRHR studies and resources were added to Share-Net Jordan online knowledge platform, and members rose to 261.
