How does a youth led organisation secure funding? What do donors look for in an application? How can I develop an effective funding strategy for my cause?

Join the Global Queer Youth Network and CHOICE for Youth & Sexuality this October for a workshop that aims to answer these questions and more. On October 27th at 16:00 CET we are hosting a practical workshop focused on fundraising, joined by CHOICE for Youth & Sexuality we will be introducing a toolkit resource and delivering a practical workshop session on its use. What is this session?

This session will introduce CHOICE’s toolkit resource, which has been developed Through interviews with researchers and a global survey where organisations shared their experiences of navigating the donor landscape in the hope of raising funds to support their work in a variety of challenging contexts.  Following an introduction to this toolkit the session will move into a practical workshop where participants will be invited to create funder-oriented items for use in their future activism and advocacy.

Who is this session for?

This session is aimed at activists, advocates, organisers, and change-makers within the area of LGBTIQ+ Youth. If you are interested in increasing your capacity to understand donor landscapes this is the session for you, we will also be providing a space for discussion with other global participants.
