Join the next Girls Not Brides  Netherlands and Share-Net Netherlands lecture series on adaptive programming in child marriage programmes in times of COVID-19, with a focus on sexual and reproductive health and rights, child protection and gender-based violence!

When? 3 June 2020, 11.00 – 12.30 CEST

Where? Online via Livestorm

How to register? Please RSVP before June 1st here.

Who is organising? The lecture is an initiative of the GNB Global Learnings Working Group consisting of representatives from the three Dutch child marriage alliances – Her Choice, More than Brides Alliance and Yes, I do – as well as Defence for Children, Dutch Centre of Forced Marriage & Abandonment, Stichting Voice of Afghan Women, and Women Win.

What to expect? GNB is a global partnership of more than 1,400 civil society organisations committed to ending child marriage and enabling girls to fulfil their potential. In light of the current pandemic, partners around the world are adapting their programmes to continue reaching and impacting young girls.

The aim of the lecture is to create a space for exchange and learning around experiences with child marriage programmes pivoting due to COVID-19:

  • The lecture will start with an introduction of Rachel Yates, Director of Learning and Regional Implementation at GNB International, who will share recommendations and an agenda for action.
  • Our partners from the Global South will present on their successes and the challenges they currently face with programme adaptations due to COVID-19 in Pakistan, India and Nepal.
We will conclude with a moderated panel discussion and an interactive Q&A session.
