MTV Staying Alive Grant: Preventing HIV Among Young People

Posted by Kimberley Meijers on August 8, 2016 at 4:16 pm

Deadline: 28 August 2016

At MTV Staying Alive we’re dedicated to preventing HIV within young communities around the world. Since we started in 2005, we have distributed $5.9 million to HIV prevention projects in 68 countries around the world.

Do you want to be part of our journey? Well, if you are passionate about HIV awareness, creative, and are 27 or younger, then we want to hear from you!

So, what’s on offer?

Every successful grant applicant will receive up to $12,000 of funding from us for 1 year to set up an HIV awareness project in their community.

But our support doesn’t stop there. You will also be assigned a dedicated grant manager who will provide you with feedback and advice and you will receive comprehensive capacity building training throughout your grant period to help ensure that your project is successful and sustainable.

Stage 1 applications must be submitted by Sunday the 28th of August. If you are successful at stage 1, applicants will be invited to submit a more detailed stage 2 application. Final grant winners will be announced on World AIDS Days (the 1st of December 2016).
