We are extremely excited to invite you to the first session of our series ‘Through the eyes of a pleasure activist’ on Saturday 11 December, 1pm – 2.15 pm UTC. 
We will kick off this series of inspiring individuals acting as pleasure activists in Sexual and Reproductive Health work with a presentation and Q and A session with Agents of Isqh. We will get to hear from Paromita Vohra, who conceptualised the organisation, to learn about her own experiences as a pleasure activist and her journey through all the amazing, pleasure-inclusive, work she does. Shereen El Feki 

Shereen El Feki is Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) at UNAIDS. She is also the author of Sex and the Citadel: Intimate Life in a Changing Arab World (Penguin Random House), a groundbreaking study of sexuality and its intersection with politics, religion and culture across MENA.  Before joining UNAIDS, Shereen was a Regional Director with Promundo, where she led the International Men and Gender Equality Survey Middle East and North Africa (IMAGES MENA), a pioneering study of men, masculinities and gender roles across seven countries in the region. Shereen has previously served as Vice-Chair of the UN’s Global Commission on HIV and the Law, as well as working as a presenter with Al Jazeera and Healthcare Correspondent at The Economist. Shereen is also an Associate Fellow at the Centre for Global Health at Chatham House, and is a former board member of Advocates for Youth. She started her career with a BSc from the University of Toronto and an MPhil and PhD in molecular immunology from theUniversity of Cambridge.

 

Sandrine Atallah 

Dr Sandrine Atallah is a consultant in sexual medicine, a certified psychosexologist and a hypnotherapist. Executive committee member (Secretary General) of the Middle East Society of Sexual Medicine (MESSM), she was the chairman of its Public Awareness Committee. Member at large of the ISSM (International Society for Sexual Medicine), she is also a board member of the Société Francophone de Médecine Sexuelle (SFMS). 

Among her social media activities, she is the chair of the ISSM Communication Committee, and was thesocial media editor of the MESSM and its public website. She was also the social media co-editor of the Journal of Sexual Medicine.

Dedicated to spreading sexual awareness, she is the editor and the host of “Hakeh Sareeh, a podcast show produced by Hakawati, an Arabic podcasting platform (https://hakawati.fm/channels/channel_page/41).

She is the editor and host of “Sexual Health” Web videos for several Web TV and educational websites (An-Nahar TVAltibbi.comLooliaLoveMattersArabic) along with her own YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/DrSandrineAtallah) and social media platforms (https://www.instagram.com/drsandrineatallah https://www.facebook.com/drsandrineatallahhttps://twitter.com/drsatallah)

She co-edited and co-hosted “Lezim Taaref”, a TV Show for LBCI, Lebanon.

She is a regular guest/speaker at local and international conferences and seminars related to sexual medicine, sexual health and sexual awareness.
