Do you know that infertility affects an estimated 180 million men and women globally?
Do you know which communities are most affected?
Do you know the difference between infertility and sub-fertility?
Ever heard of social infertility?
These are just a few of the questions this concurrent session will address while exploring the gender equality and human rights dimensions of infertility.
Come learn about this important issue and why it is critical to include it in our SRHR agenda and discourse. You’ll hear from a variety of experts including from young people discussing what they know about (in)fertility and how it is part of their lives. Together we’ll work towards better understanding (in)fertility and, breaking the silence around it.
Co-organized by CRR, WHO, and Share Net International. Center partners Dr. Joia Crear-Perry (NBEC) and Dr. Sarojini Nadimpally (SAMA) are speaking, as well as Dr. Ian Askew (WHO), Jillian Gedeon (IYAFP), and Dr. Hashim Hounkpatin (Women Deliver Youth Advocate).
