Please join us on 15th May 2019, from 09:00 to 10:00 Washington / 15:00 to 16:00 Geneva for a webinar on Self-care interventions for sexual and reproductive health and rights: Building the evidence base for self-care on SRHR
This is the second installment of a two part-webinar (with the first webinar on 14th May 2019 from 09:00 to 10:00 Washington / 15:00 to 16:00 Geneva) which will share outcomes of reviews and evidence published in a special supplement in The BMJ.
Among the most promising approaches to advancing SDGs is self-care. The World Health Organization’s definition of self-care is “the ability of individuals, families and communities to promote health, prevent disease, maintain health, and cope with illness and disability with or without the support of a health-care provider.” We will discuss the systems and people-centered perspectives of self-care interventions, as well as the growing evidence base that will inform the development of WHO’s first consolidated normative guidance.
