Developing a research agenda regarding the sexual, reproductive and maternal health of refugees in the Netherlands

August 28, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Last year, Share-Net Netherlands organized a Symposium on access to high-quality maternal health care for asylum seekers, undocumented migrants and residence permit holders.

We’d now like to invite researchers and practitioners  with a keen interest in the maternal, sexual and reproductive health of refugees and undocumented migrants in the Netherlands to come together to develop a research agenda and research collaboration in this area. This small-scale brainstorm meeting, organized together with the Centre for Social Science and Global health at the University of Amsterdam,  will be held on August 28th, 18:00-21:00. It will take place at the University of Amsterdam, Anthropology Department, Common Room B5.12 (5th floor), B/C building at the Roeterseiland). There will be some snacks and drinks served during the meeting.

The aims of the meeting are:

  • to identify research needs, research partners  and potential funding avenues
  • to decide on concrete steps to get actual  research projects off the ground.

Places are limited! If you are interested to collaborate in this area but cannot attend, please email Maria Codina at info@share-net.nl  or Bregje de Kok at B.C.deKok@uva.nl
