Call for papers : Mental Health Congress in Cotonou: Gender, Cuture and Disease (in French)

Congrès de Santé Mentale de Cotonou : Sexe , Cuture et Maladie. 

When and where?

22 to 24 November 2016 at the Palais des Congrès Cotonou (Benin)

Expected Participants

Psychiatrists, child psychiatrists, general practitioners, psychologists, anthropologists, sociologists, nurses, social workers, traditional healers, psychologists (Science Education) historians. All specialists in relation to issues of sexuality, etc.


– Inform professionals about the intricacies of sexuality, culture and disease.

– Confronting skills and experiences related to sexuality and culture in nursing practice; they fall within psychiatry, anthropology, sexology, gynecology, endocrinology and cardiology.

– Understand the importance of socio-cultural representations of sexuality and their relationship with physical pain and / or psychical.

Sub-theme 2 : Culture and disease

Sub-theme 3 : Sexuality and Medicine Conditions of Participation

The abstracts are expected no later than September 16, 2016. These summaries are to be submitted to the Scientific Committee: congressantementale@gmail.com

Your proposals should include the sub-theme, the title, the full names and addresses of authors with their affiliations and a summary of their most accurate work : the study objectives , materials and methods used, main results, interests, keywords (no more than 4). The text of the summary is presented in Word format, A4, portrait orientation, Arial font, size 12 pt, single spaced. The proposals have to be in French.
