Who is Mainline?
Mainline is a Dutch foundation that is active on national and international level and focuses on harm reduction of people who use drugs. Their mission is to promote health and fulfill the human rights of people who use drugs, with respect for the individual drug user’s freedom of choice and capabilities. They do this by providing health education, offering training and working with international partner organizations.
As an NGO, Mainline is dependent on government subsidies. However, funds are shrinking so Mainline needs to think about alternative sources of income in order to continue with their mission. One example could be social entrepreneurship. How could this look like in practice and what role do NGOs have in this? Therefore Mainline will invite you to brainstorm about how they can become more social entrepreneurial or even be a social enterprise themselves. More information about the specific case will follow soon by the newsletter and social media.
So, everybody who loves to brainstorm for social impact and has a passion for social entrepreneurship is welcome to join.
