120 Under 40 is the first project of its kind to celebrate young champions of family planning.
With your help, we will recognize the next generation of leaders making a difference in reproductive health worldwide.
The selection process to choose the 2016 winners of 120 Under 40 has begun! Voting is now open.
The 40 winners will be chosen by the public via online voting and a jury of experts and leaders in family planning. Online public voting and jury review will take place June 27 to July 10.
The public can click the “Vote” button on a nominee’s profile to indicate support of that nominee. All can vote for as many nominees as they would like once a day. To vote, go to www.120under40.org.
To encourage public participation, nominees and nominators are encouraged to promote nominee profiles through their own social media networks. Use the 120 Under 40 share graphics (to download, click here or on the images below), and be sure to tag your post with #120under40.
The jury, a panel of experts and leaders in family planning and reproductive health, will review nominees on the basis of the following criteria, which are drawn from the published project description and the nominee profile questions:
Once online public voting and jury scoring close, the project secretariat will tally scores and determine the 40 winners, all of whom will receive $1,000 from the Gates Institute to continue their work in family planning. The winners will be announced in September 2016. A smaller representative group of winners will be invited to the 120 Under 40 celebration in the United States in September 2016.
