Location: Koekamp, The Hague
Safe abortion is (legally) accessible in The Netherlands but in in many places it is not, or this right is under attack. The Netherlands has known generations of feminist, pro-choice activists, like the Dolle Mina’s, whom have ensured that people have been able to decide over their bodies for some decades now.
Unfortunately, we see a rise of conservative movements trying to curtail this reproductive freedom. Think of Poland (#czarnyprotest), the US, but also this ‘Mars voor het Leven’ taking place in The Hague on Human Rights Day.
Through this manifestation we’d like to celebrate and reflect on the right to freedom of choice we have and make a stand against the rise of these conservative movements.
