ILGA-Europe is a driving force for political, legal and social change at European level. Our vision is of a world where dignity, freedoms and full enjoyment of human rights are protected and ensured to everyone regardless of their actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression and sex characteristics.
The post holder will be mostly be responsible for coordinating parts of ILGA-Europe’s engagement in Post-Soviet states, including Central Asia.
ILGA-Europe programmes include regranting, capacity building and advocacy activities, through that combination we seek to actively address the needs of activists in the region and contribute to the development of the movement.
The post holder will ensure effective coordination with project partners and implementation of project activities (e.g. regranting, events, trainings, etc.), provide direct capacity-building and movement-building support to LGBTI organisations and initiatives (e.g. through coaching) contribute to the development of expertise about region throughout the organisation to support effective engagement throughout ILGA-Europe’s activities, represent ILGA-Europe at meetings and events at national and European level, maintain or develop partnerships and coalitions with other NGOs, allies of the LGBTI community and other relevant stakeholders and contribute to the other fields of work such as advocacy, communication, documentation and fundraising.
Gross salary: The salary scale for the post is between €45,694.72 – €50,967.18 (gross salary), starting at the beginning of the scale. The stated amount is inclusive of the holiday pay. The post is being offered at the first point of the scale. The organisation has a generous remuneration package, including contributing to local transportation costs, luncheon vouchers, hospitalisation insurance, a pension scheme for employees and ‘family friendly’ policies. Relocation support from within Europe to Brussels will be given where appropriate.
