On the 16th of May 2018 the AIDS journey will be launched in Amsterdam for the Dutch public, announcing the start of the International AIDS Conference 2018 (AIDS2018). With 30% of all new HIV infections being among young people worldwide, it’s important to have a strong youth presence during this day and during the conference itself. To show our presence and interests and to make our voices heard the Amsterdam Youth Force and Dance4Life will facilitate Youth Campaign Lab: a one-day co-creation process to generate a youth-led campaign on HIV, AIDS and SRHR that will feature in the run up to AIDS 2018.
For a full and exciting 12 hours from 6am till 6pm, young HIV, AIDS and SRHR advocates will co-create a global campaign. There will be expert talks, campaign prototyping, live testing on the streets and in digital spheres, and to keep the energy going there will be a number of music performances and special guests. Peer input to the co-creation process will be generated through online engagement and by satellite groups in the United States, Brazil, South Africa, Tanzania, Ukraine and India.
